The relationship between contents is a concern for teachers in all areas of education, including higher
education. This problem affects the curricular space Agricultural Zoology, a subject of the first quarter of the third year of the courses of Agricultural Engineering and Animal Engineering, that is part of the academic offer of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences (FCA) of the University of Córdoba (UNC). This can be observed when addressing the activities during the practical work, in the answers
of the evaluations and in the consultation hours. This is why this paper aims to develop a teaching and learning proposal for the subject Agricultural Zoology, within the framework of the constructivist theories of learning, for the integration and understanding of contents. In this context,
a qualitative analysis was carried out. The study was divided into three parts, knowing the opinion of the students, knowing the opinion of the teachers and analyzing the records of students. As a result,
it was possible to see that the change of study plan affected students when they arrived at the
curriculum space with less previous knowledge, on the other hand, the dedication to the subject is lower due to the higher workload of the other subjects. It is proposed to carry out a didactic intervention proposal for the practical works of the subject, to favor the integration of its contents,
starting with a diagnostic assessment as a starting point and followed by a sequence of learning based on recognition, knowledge of the insect and its subsequent relation in a production system. These changes seek to implement actions that guarantee a real construction of knowledge preparing students to be able to respond to problematic situations in the exercise of their profession.
