Abstract
In this work we present an experimental analysis of the use of exponential family Fisher vector to solve the problem of visual plant identification. We make a comparison of the encoding of different descriptors with this framework and we evaluate the performance on public datasets and compare these results with state of the art methods proposed in the literature. We show that eFV framework performs very well in the problem of plant classification.
