Voces y posicionamientos en el discurso periodístico: Construcción del concepto de inseguridad en la prensa gráfica digital latinoamericana

Abstract

La inseguridad se presenta como una de las principales preocupaciones de la sociedad civil en América Latina, es por eso que la descripción de un determinado acto de delincuencia es relevante para no distorsionar la imagen de aquellas personas que participaron de un hecho delictivo o que se vieron involucradas por la coyuntura del propio caso. A partir de esta inquietud, en el siguiente artículo se analiza un caso en particular que fue el apagón de luz más largo en la historia de Venezuela. Este suceso se produjo en el mes de marzo del 2019 y fue divulgado por los medios de comunicación de diversas partes del mundo. La metodología cualitativa se basa en analizar los periódicos digitales de mayor consumo de los 5 países latinoamericanos más poblados y con elevado índice de delincuencia: México, Brasil, Colombia, Argentina y Perú. El objetivo es indagar cómo se construyen y evalúan los actos de los sujetos en los periódicos e identificar herramientas socio-discursivas en la articulación de los conceptos de: ‘héroe/víctima’ y ‘delincuente/victimario’. Por esa razón, el análisis teórico-metodológico de este artículo se basa en la realización de una investigación donde se utilizan herramientas principalmente propuestas por Eliseo Verón, Leonor Arfuch y Catherine Kerbrat Orecchioni. Finalmente, a través del análisis socio-semiótico presentado en el análisis, se establecen conclusiones pertinentes.

Insecurity is presented as one of the main preoccupations of civil society in Latin America, that is why the description of a particular act of delinquency is relevant to not change the image of those people who participated in a criminal act or who saw themselves involved in the conjuncture of a case. In relation of this concern, the following article analyzes a particular case that was the longest electrical blackout in the history of Venezuela. This event was in the month of march 2019 and was published by the press in diferents parts of the world. The qualitative methodology is about the digital newspapers with the highest consumption of the 5 most populate Latin American countries with a high crime rate: México, Brazil, Colombia, Argentina and Peru. The aim is to investigate how the acts are constructed and evaluated in the newspapers and to identify social-discursive tools in the articulation of the concepts of: 'hero / victim' and 'delinquent / victimizer'. For that reason, the theoretical-methodological analysis of this article is based on the realization of an investigation using the main tools proposed by Eliseo Verón, Leonor Arfuch and Catherine Kerbrat Orecchioni. Finally, through the socio-semiotic, the analysis which is presented in the results, made relevant conclusions.
