Causas por las cuales los niños menores de 2 años no reciben lactancia materna. Centro de salud Barranquitas Oeste. Santa Fe. Año 2012

Abstract

Objetivo: conocer las causas por las cuales los niños menores de 2 años no reciben lactancia materna parcial. Material y Método: se trabajó con todas las madres de niños menores de 2 años que no recibieron lactancia materna parcial en el Centro de salud Barranquitas Oeste de la ciudad de Santa Fe durante el año 2012. Conclusiones: las causas para que los niños menores de 2 años no reciban lactancia materna parcial que influyeron negativamente fueron: Edad gestacional, Peso al nacer, Nivel de instrucción materno, Edad materna, Tipo de parto, Falta de apoyo familiar a la madre e Información en lactancia materna. No influyen: Conocimiento en lactancia materna, Problemas psicoemocionales maternos, Problemas en las mamas de la madre, Sexo del niño y Falta de apoyo institucional a la madre. Sugerencias: Para futuros trabajos de investigación en lo referente a causas de no amamantamiento en niños menores de 2 años, agregar y utilizar otras variables no presentes en éste informe, como por ejemplo: ocupación de la madre, paridad de la madre, antecedentes previos en amamantamiento, dificultad o enfermedad del niño, etc. Hacer otros cruzamientos de las variables presentadas en este informe, ya que mayormente se observó que no hay asociación entre las mismas. Tener en cuenta que resultaron muy útiles investigar sobre edad gestacional al nacer del niño, peso al nacer del niño, nivel de instrucción y edad maternas para seguir aplicándolo en otras investigaciones.

Objective: to know the reasons why children under 2 years do not receive partial breastfeeding. Material and Methods: We worked with all mothers of children under two years who received partial breastfeeding in the health center Barranquitas west of the city of Santa Fe in 2012. Conclusions: The causes for children under 2 years do not receive partial breastfeeding that influenced negatively were: gestational age, birth weight, level of maternal education, maternal age, type of delivery, lack of family support to the mother and Information breastfeeding. No influence: Knowledge breastfeeding, maternal psycho-emotional problems, problems in the breast of the mother, child sex and lack of institutional support to the mother. Suggestions: For future research regarding causes of not breastfeeding in children under 2 years add and use other variables not present in this report, such as: occupation of mother, parity of the mother, previous history in breastfeeding difficulty or child's illness, etc. Make other crossings of the variables presented in this report, as it mostly was observed no association between them. Keep in mind that proved very useful research on gestational age at birth of the child, the child's birth weight, maternal education level and to continue to apply in other investigations age.
