Abstract
Leonor Arfuch y Catherine Kerbrat Orecchioni. Finalmente, a través del análisis socio-semiótico presentado
en el análisis, se establecen conclusiones pertinentes.
Insecurity is presented as one of the main preoccupations of civil society in Latin America, that
is why the description of a particular act of delinquency is relevant to not change the image of those people
who participated in a criminal act or who saw themselves involved in the conjuncture of a case. In relation
of this concern, the following article analyzes a particular case that was the longest electrical blackout in the
history of Venezuela. This event was in the month of march 2019 and was published by the press in diferents
parts of the world. The qualitative methodology is about the digital newspapers with the highest
consumption of the 5 most populate Latin American countries with a high crime rate: México, Brazil,

newspapers and to identify social-discursive tools in the articulation of the concepts of: 'hero / victim' and
'delinquent / victimizer'. For that reason, the theoretical-methodological analysis of this article is based on
the realization of an investigation using the main tools proposed by Eliseo Verón, Leonor Arfuch and
Catherine Kerbrat Orecchioni. Finally, through the socio-semiotic, the analysis which is presented in the
