Efecto de la aplicación de desecantes sobre la calidad de semillas de garbanzo (Cicer arietinum L.)

Abstract

Los productos comúnmente utilizados como desecantes en garbanzo (Cicer arietinum L.) son herbicidas de contacto (Paraquat) y/o sistémicos (Glifosato), sin embargo existen opiniones encontradas acerca de las consecuencias que podrían tener en el potencial fisiológico de la semilla. El objetivo de este trabajo es determinar el efecto de la aplicación de desecantes sobre la calidad de semillas de garbanzo. Para ello se llevo a cabo un ensayo en bloques al azar con 6 tratamientos y tres repeticiones. Los tratamientos fueron: Paraquat 2 lts/ha (T1) , Glifosato + 2,4 D 1,8 kg/ha y 1 lt/ha (T2) Saflufenacil 0,035 kgrs/ha (T3), Saflufenacil 0,070 kgrs/ha (T4) y dos testigos sin aplicar , uno cosechado 8 DDA (T5) y otro 20 DDA (T6). Se determinó el poder germinativo (%), % 1° lectura (energía germinativa), % plántulas anormales, % semillas muertas, peso de mil semillas y caída de 7 mm de las semillas en el laboratorio de Semillas de la EEAOC (Estación Experimental Agroindustrial Obispo Colombres). Con los valores obtenidos se realizó el análisis de varianza (ANAVA). No se encontraron diferencias entre tratamientos y testigo (T5) para ninguna característica. El herbicida utilizado como desecante no posee acción sobre la calidad fisiológica de la semilla cuando la aplicación se realiza a partir de la madurez fisiológica de las mismas. Se encontró diferencias significativas entre tratamientos testigos T5 y T6, la ocurrencia de condiciones ambientales adversas, de alta precipitación y temperatura, afectaron significativamente la calidad de semilla del tratamiento testigo T6 cosechado 20 DDA. La desecación controla malezas en activo crecimiento que pueden afectar la calidad estética del grano durante la cosecha.

The products commonly used as desiccants in chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.) are contact herbicides (paraquat) and / or systemic (Glyphosate), but there are confronted opinions about the impact they could have on the physiological potential of the seed. The aim of this study is to determine the effect of the application of desiccants on the quality of chickpea seeds. A randomized block assay with 6 treatments and three replications was conducted. Was determined the % germination, % of 1st reading, % abnormal seedlings, % dead seeds, thousand seeds weight and fall of 7 mm seed in the laboratory of seeds of EEAOC (Estación Experimental Agroindustrial Obispo Colombres). With the values obtained, an analysis of variance (ANOVA) was performed. There were not found any significant differences between treatments and control (T5), for any property. The herbicide used as a desiccant has no effect on the physiological seed quality when the application is made at physiological maturity. Were found significant differences between treatments T5 and T6 control treatments, the occurrence of adverse environmental conditions, high rainfall and temperature, significantly affected the quality of seeds of the control treatment T6 that was harvested 20 DDA. Desiccants also help burning down growing weeds that can affect the aesthetic quality of grains.
