En el sistema ideológico neoliberal, la CyT no se compromete con el bienestar general. Acá, se aportan reflexiones para una necesaria inserción de la CyT en la sociedad. Los capítulos abarcan: Algunas reflexiones históricas, Neoliberalismo + Postmodernismo = Neocolonialismo, Usos y costumbres del Neoliberalismo en clave de Ciencia y Tecnología, Un pantallazo a la Ciencia y Tecnología Regional y Global, Educación, Ciencia y Tecnología con Soberanía Intelectual, La Ciencia, Tecnología y Sociedad, ¿es una utopía? y un Epílogo” como frágil intento de imposible actualización en campos muy cambiantes y conmovedores. Se incluyen recuadros que expanden temas, gráficos y una profusa bibliografía. La única virtud pretendida del ensayo es problematizar el tema, acercar argumentos para discutir la Ciencia, Tecnología y Sociedad sin anticipar propuestas; no se escribió para que se comparta la posición del autor, ni para juguetear desde la neutralidad.
In the neoliberal ideology, Science and Technology have no engagement with the general welfare.
Here, some reflections for a necessary social insertion of Science and Technology. The chapters involve: Historical reflections, Neoliberalism + Postmodernism = Neocolonialism, Neoliberal customs in code of science and technology, A glance to regional and global science and
technology, Education, science and technology with intellectual sovereignty, The science, technology and society, is an utopia?, and the Epilog as a weak attempt of impossible updating in such a volatile and poignant fields. Are also included, boxes to expand themes, graphics and a profuse bibliography. The unique virtue attempted in this essay is to problematize the issue, approaching arguments to the discussion on Science, Technology and Society, without anticipating proposals; it was not writing only to share the author’s position, nor to play from neutrality.
